What exactly do I do? According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a coach can refer to a large, enclosed, four-wheeled horse-drawn carriage with side doors and a raised seat for the driver, such as the gold coach the queen rides on special occasions, or a railroad passenger car designed for daytime travel where smoking is prohibited. In today’s context, the term has expanded to include guidance and mentorship in various fields, such as Profit First business coaching, where experts help entrepreneurs improve financial health and achieve sustainable success.
The original meaning of the word “coach” was as a description of transportation; a means of getting from Point A to Point B.
The same applies to a coach as we usually hear it today. A football coach, a basketball coach, a business coach. They all are trying to get their players/clients from Point A to Point B; from a good player to a great player, from flawed mechanics to good mechanics, or from one level of success to another.
